Directed by Shiva Sadeq-Asadi, the animation will vie at the international section of the 19th edition of the Switzerland-based event.
The 11-minute animation narrates the story of a reserved and isolated schoolboy who is a theater enthusiast.
Regardless of his emotional situation, he wishes to play a role in the theater group of his school.
But the only part offered to him is the role of a crab.
The animation has already taken part in a number of global events, including the Ottawa International Animation Fest in Canada, the Countryside Animafest Cyprus film festival, and the Shanghai International filmfest in China.
The Shnit Worldwide Short Film Festival is, “an exceptional eleven-day event with a unique concept – a transnational film festival simultaneously taking place in multiple cities on five continents worldwide, with three main components: shnit PLAYGROUNDS, taking place in all of our PLAYGROUND cities, shnit SHORTS, in cinemas all around the world, and our shnit FINALE awards ceremony in New York,” the event’s website reads.
The 19th edition of the festival is currently underway from October 21-31, 2021.
